Conjoined

The walls come down when we are together.  Neither of us very social by nature.  Each of us preferring to be alone with each other.  We are similar that way.  I am drawn to him like a magnet for reasons that are unknown.  My feelings splash down my face.  He is there.  I grab onto his bushy fur and he pulls me into him.  His massive head wraps around mine.  Our spirits conjoin.  It is safe, for both us to mesh in the freedom that burns within.  The security of his heart is overwhelming.  His massive persona is inwardly magnified.  And I feel true.  Stunned by his magnificence.   Hand to fur, the secrets of our souls mesh beyond our understanding.  Overtaken in the awe of the mystery.  How does this creature know who I am?    In a world of misunderstanding, does he wonder the same thing?

Beautifully written from your heart and soul:) You have a wonderful way of articulating thoughts and emotions I share but don't know how to put into words. Thank you.

Beyond the fur and skin that house them, souls are free to recognize and share true knowledge and trust. Species is not a barrier. Understanding is universal.

Your prayer/poem is beautiful.

Thanks for your words of comfort about our nasty wind storm day. Our winters are not usually windy (we have canyon winds in Spring but they are not so harsh). This seems to be an unusual storm front which is wreaking havoc throughout the West and Southwest. This time of year in the city, we have daytime temps of 50 and evenings of high 30s...of course that changes quickly as you get into the foothills and ridges.

Brought tears to my eyes, in a good way. I've often wondered the same thing.
