Yay!!! Congrats on the award!!!!! Your blog is awesome!!!!!!
Awwww adorable picture!!!!
Oh molting time hehe, I know that time well, Timber was part Akita and it was amazing the amount of hair she would shed all in big clumps sticking off her coat all at one time, I used be able to just pick the huge clumps off. It was so soft and warm and I used to collect it and put it out in a suet cage for the birdies to use in their nest. I remember one day after I had brushed her I thought I had gotten all the hair off the deck but I must of left some and I saw a little tufted titmouse hopping around collecting all the bits of fur in their beak, it was adorable hehe!! I also loved the thought of her beautiful fur helping to keep some baby birds warm and happy. :)
I always brush outside, with 6 dogs I'd be crazy not too. But also so it can be recycled back into Nature. Our yard always looks like a fur bomb went off!!
Congratulations on your Award! We thoroughly enjoy visiting your blog/ We can relate to so many of the subjects you write about especially this one. We used to have 4 dogs and 3 were long haired. I used to dread shedding season. Even now with the two we have it still a 2 hour job daily. First we go outside and do the brushing then spend a good hour vacuuming the house. I've seen the birds carrying away hunks of hair so like you said it's being recycled into nature.
Have a Great Weekend, Erin & Mom
